Welcome to Atlas Horizon Counselling
Sarah Murphy, MSW, RSW
Internal Family Systems Therapist
Hi, I’m Sarah (she/her/hers). I’m a therapist with over 10 years of experience supporting people through life’s most challenging seasons. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Carleton University and I am a Registered Social Worker.
My work is grounded in the belief that we all have an innate capacity for healing. I am an Internal Family Systems Therapist, and while this is the main way I work, I also integrate elements of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. You can count on me to walk alongside you with warmth, curiosity, and respect.
I am originally from Newfoundland (though you won’t detect an accent!) and I’ve lived in Whitehorse for 9 years with my partner, our son, and our two dogs Kepler and Henry. When I’m not in session, you’ll often find me playing music, enjoying the outdoors, or spending time with my family.
If you’re looking for a supportive space to explore what’s going on inside and begin moving toward healing, I’d be honoured to connect.

About Atlas
Meet Henry and Kepler aka the office Labs
You’ve probably noticed - I love dogs! I strongly believe in the healing power of their presence and energy. When you visit, you will likely be greeted by one of my dogs - Kepler (7 year old male chocolate lab) or Henry (my baby puppy male red lab). If this is a concern for you and/or you have allergies, please let me know so I can accommodate you!
My practice is named for my dog Atlas, who passed away unexpectedly on April 19th, 2025. He was the most wonderful boy and I miss him dearly. Naming my clinic after him is one of the many ways I’ve chosen to honour him and keep his spirit alive.
